Bolts Bitten by the Dogs!!!

The Bolts faced the Jacksonville Ice Dogs this past weekend for 2 challenging games. Saturday's game ended with a 5-2 score. Three goals within 3 1/2 min in the second period sealed the Bolts fate despite great goaltending by Marty Oosterwijk. Alex Spiros and Dennis Rodriguez each scored a goal and Patrick Rodgers and Scott Schilson both had 2 assists. Sunday's rematch was incredibly exciting! The game was tied at 0 until 5:19 in the second period when Jacksonville scored their first goal. The next 2 goals were scored within 2 min against the Bolts during a 5 on 3 penalty followed by a 5 on 4. The Bolts were able to take control of the Dogs for the remainder of the game and allowed no further scoring. The Bolts had a beautiful slapshot goal in the third period to prevent a shutout by the Dogs. Casey Kelso fed a great pass to defenseman Jacob Stits who fired the puck into the net for an awesome goal! Brian Samson had an incredible game in net against this very strong division leader. Next up for the Bolts is a MET League Showcase in Ct. over Thanksgiving weekend.


Junior B team Splits With Palm Beach Predators...

The Bolts lost to the Palm Beach Predators 8-3 on Saturday night in a game mired with penalties. Despite the team playing shorthanded for most of the game, Scott Schilson still managed to score 2 goals and 1 assist. Sundays game proved to be a great performance with the Bolts winning 9-4. Trevor Wight scored 2 goals and 2 assists, Casey Kelso scored 1 goal and 3 assists, Devin Henry scored 1 goal and 1 assist, Ryan Bright scored 1 goal and defenseman Adam Petsche contributed with 1 goal and 2 assists. Next up for the Bolts is against the Jacksonville Ice Dogs this weekend at the Ellenton Ice & Sports Complex.


Junior B team Splits With Florida Eels...

After losing a disappointing game on Saturday night against the Florida Eels 8-4, the Bolts bounced back strong with a great performance. Forwards Trevor Wight and Alex Spiros both scored 2 goals and had 1 assist in the 8-3 Win by the Bolts. Barnabas Skobis contributed with 1 goal and an assist, as well as Scott Schilson had 4 assists in the impressive win on Sunday. Goalie Martijn Oosterwijk had 31 saves in the win!


Bolts Jr. B Games to be Broadcasted Live on FastHockey.com

In an agreement with the Metropolitan Junior Hockey League, Fasthockey.com and
the Tampa Bay Bolts, all of the Bolts games are scheduled to be broadcasted on Fasthockey.com. Anyone interested in viewing the Tampa Bay Bolts in action should

Bolts Jr. C Team Travels to VA for SEJHL Showcase

Junior C team travels to VA to play in their first SEJHL Showcase in Hampton Roads, VA. The Bolts will play against Hampton Roads Green, Hampton Roads Blue, East Coast Eagles Minor and Major teams. This will be the first test for our C team. The Bolts have had many close games so far this season.


Bolts Junior B team hosts Home Opener on Saturday 10/25

The Bolts will host their Home Opener at the Ellenton Ice and Sports Complex against the first place Space Coast Hurricanes. Join the Bolts for the pre-game festivities as the players will walk the red carpet and be signing autographs from 5:30-7:30pm. There will also be a face painter, balloon artist, and other activities for the kids. This will be a great opportunity to meet your favorite players.
